Herefordshire Activities Together (HAT) is a network of VCSE providers working collaboratively to develop specialist support, and accessible community activities for people of all abilities, for public benefit. Our members are all local organisations or local branches of national or regional organisations.

ASPIRE

We show that we live what we believe by ensuring that Aspire is led by people with a learning disability in senior and non-executive roles; by showing that we value and respect everyone, including our great staff teams; and through our membership of the Thera Group of locally-led companies that empower people to have real choice and control about how and where they live their lives.
Autism West Midlands

Autism West Midlands is the leading charity in the West Midlands for people on the autism spectrum. We use our expertise to enrich the lives of autistic people and those who love and care for them. Our passionate, expert staff and volunteers work across all age groups and abilities, providing direct support.

The Cartshed

The Cart Shed Charity works with young people aged 14 – 25 and adults of all ages who are experiencing emotional distress. The charity operates on a working farm in north Herefordshire.
Based on the principals of occupational therapy – finding meaning and purpose – our team of occupational therapists (OTs), tutors and volunteers, use a strengths-based approach to enable people to manage their mental health and wellbeing in a way that ensures they can live well. We use the inherent benefit of being outside in a woodland setting along with opportunities to learn new, creative skills to improve people’s mental health

ECHO is an independent, Herefordshire-based charity with 230 members and over 150 volunteers. Our main office is in Leominster but our projects run in many different community based venues.

In 2020 we proudly celebrated 30 years of making a difference to the lives of disabled people in the county.
​
Most of our activities are suitable for people with moderate or severe learning difficulties, but we will try to support anyone who wishes to take part in our activities, including those with mental health difficulties and physical or sensory impairments.
The Horizon Centre

At the Ross on Wye Horizon Centre, we feel passionate about improving community-based services for adults with learning and other disabilities. We think that it is important to provide a supportive environment to build confidence, learn new skills, and develop independence while being in the heart of the local community – integration is key!

The Horizon Centre offers activities such as arts and crafts, woodwork, gardening, music and exercise groups as well as new opportunities. We believe that ‘our smallness is our strength’, as it allows us to be flexible, adaptable and able to view tried and tested approaches in different ways. Headway Herefordshire

We are a Herefordshire based charity providing services to adults (18+) who have a head injury or an acquired brain injury.
We provide therapies, rehabilitation and reablement, advocacy, carer and family support alongside our wellbeing day services, a comfortable social setting, where individuals living with an ABI can meet people and make new friends.
HVOSS

hvoss provide information, guidance and support to volunteers, charities, voluntary and community groups in Herefordshire. All these organisations deliver public benefit and are not for profit. We are locally accountable to them through their membership of hvoss. Our vision is a vibrant and active local voluntary and community sector.

We develop constructive commissioning arrangements and partnership working between our members and others seeking to positively support community life in the county.
EnviroAbility

We work collaboratively to ensure our high quality services are creative, innovative and sustainable. Providing activities that are valued by the community and offer the people accessing our services an opportunity to influence the direction of the projects.
Our specialist teams use their skills and expertise to empower people to achieve the positive changes they want to make in their lives. This includes people with Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, and those with very complex needs, including people with challenging behaviour and people affected by mental health or social isolation.
Herefordshire Mind

We are Herefordshire’s local mental health charity. Our aim is that no one in Herefordshire should have to face a mental health problem alone. Please feel free to get in touch with us anytime.
Hereford Community Farm

Hereford Community Farm provides therapeutic land based activities and skills training in a welcoming inclusive environment where people feel valued and supported to self-manage their health and wellbeing. Activities on offer include working with small and large animals and ponies, horticulture, Green Woodwork, Eco Carpentry, cookery, crafts and life skills.
We offer placements for Day Activities, Alternative Education Provision, Holiday Activities and Food programme (HAF), Family Fundays, Friendly Faces (for older people and their family carers), School and Community Groups and 1:1 bespoke provision – please contact us to discuss your requirements or to arrange a visit.
Houghton project

We are a farm project that provides opportunities for anyone who wants to take part in a variety of rural activities but who would like some support to get fully involved. People who come to the Project have told us that as well as learning new skills they have made friends and gained confidence that has enhanced and helped them in other areas of their lives.
We grow and harvest vegetables from our extensive garden, have many animals we care for, have a great kitchen for cooking, brew cider and make apple juice and build woodwork from the trees on our woodland. We are now selling the woodwork that our skilled on site carpenters build, as well as our apple juice and cider which is made from local herefordshire apples and brewed on site.
Marches Family Network

Marches Family Network’s goal is for every child and young person with a disability to have access to the same opportunities and experiences as their non-disabled peers. We achieve this by delivering a wide range of high quality, accessible short breaks, respite and support services, empowering the children and young people with disabilities and their families.

We strive to meet the needs of all children, young people and families who need our support by providing:

A range of activity sessions, skills groups and day trips, for 3–25-year-olds.

Family activity sessions, family day trips and parent carer wellbeing sessions.

A Family Support Outreach Service, providing tailored support, signposting, advice, and welfare support to parents, carers and families.
MiEnterprise

MiEnterprise CIC runs a café at the Pavilion on the Grange, Leominster. They help to support and train people with learning disabilities in catering industry skills
Services for Independent Living

​Services for Independent Living support Disabled People and those with long term conditions to live independently and access their communities. We provide a range of 1 to 1 support services, homecare and supported living services and support services for people who have Direct Payments.
Creative Learning – Walsingham Support

We are a national organisation that offer services to adults with Learning Disabilities and associated conditions. In Central region, we provide residential care, supported living and day opportunities within Herefordshire, Gloucestershire & Staffordshire.
